No salary resolution was adopted this month by the Centerville Township Board.
During its rescheduled monthly meeting Feb. 6, Supervisor Leonard Kelenski said no changes in compensation for the 2008-09 fiscal year were discussed or acted upon.
The meeting, typically held the second Wednesday of each month, was moved up one week since one member was scheduled to be out of town.
Barring any action by those attending this year’s Annual Meeting of township inhabitants, scheduled for March 29, compensation for the new budget year that begins April 1 will remain. The pay levels include $8,000 for the Kelenski, $10,000 for clerk James Balesh, and $10,850 for the treasurer Katrina Pleva.
“If a resolution is passed at our March 12 meeting, we’ll have to reschedule the Annual Meeting,” Kelenski said.
By law, a salary resolution must be acted upon 30 days prior to a township’s Annual Meeting in order to be considered valid.
