Things important to you that you have accomplished so far: “Having a child was definitely huge. It’s also important to me that I earned a college degree. Also, a goal of ours was to have a waterfront home on Lake Leelanau, and now we do.
What you hope to be doing in 10 years: “I hope to have a few more children. I’d be good with a whole houseful! Also, I guess I’d like to travel and see a little bit more of the world.”
Things you lose sleep over: “When I was a teacher I’d lose a lot of sleep over my students. Now, I only lose sleep over my child whenever he’s losing sleep. Otherwise, I try to sleep whenever I can.”
If you could change one thing in Leelanau County, it would be: “I would like to see more jobs in Leelanau County so more families could stay around.”
Favorite dessert: “Chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce.”

Favorite place in Leelanau County: “It’s always been a hilltop off Herman Road where there’s a panoramic view. Now, it’s probably my own back yard.”
