A benefit dinner and silent auction for Larry Clink Sr., son of Madlyn Eimers of Maple City, will be held Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Cedar-Maple City Lions Club community building.

Clink, who lives in Karlin, works at Leelanau Fruit and began treatment Monday for inoperable lung cancer. His health insurance does not cover the cost of his treatment at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Clink is the brother of Deb Rock of Maple City, Dave Eimers of Lake Ann, Dennis Eimers of Traverse City, and Tammy Collins of Holland.

Donations are also being accepted at Members Credit Union on U.S. 31 South in Traverse City.
