Chapter 50 Northwestern Michigan Veterans for Peace will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday in the lower level of Horizon Books in downtown Traverse City.

Meetings start at 10 a.m.

The organization includes veterans from all branches of the military, from World War II to the current conflict in Iraq.

As part of a community film series, Veterans for Peace will also present the documentary Soldiers of Conscience on Tuesday, March 18 at the State Theatre in Traverse City. It will be shown at 7:30 p.m.

This award-winning film explores moral concerns confronting soldiers in today’s Amy, and includes rare footage of basic training and the war in Iraq.
