Ron and Bridget Popp are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their company, R.W. Popp Excavating in Elmwood Township.

The company has played a role in hundreds of residential and commercial projects in the Grand Traverse area. In 2004, Popp Excavating was recognized as Excavator of the Year by Leelanau County Conservation District and has been nominated for the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneur of the Year award every year since its inception in April 1988.
