Local artist and cartoonist Dick Evans will appear at the Great Lakes Children's Museum in Greilickville Monday.

Evans will hold a cartooning workshop in which participants will learn how to draw funny faces, characters and animals, and tell a story through cartooning. Materials will be provided and his book, Cartooning is for Everybody, will be available for purchase afterward.

Workshops are 40 minutes long, starting at 1 p.m. and again at 1:50 p.m.

The activity, which is best for those ages six and older, is supported by a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the Dennos Museum Center.
