Centerville: no budget figures

No figures for the 2008-09 budget were available from Centerville Township as of presstime Wednesday, four days before the Annual Meeting will be held.

The Annual Meeting of township inhabitants is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the township hall, located at French and Bodus roads.

No salary resolution was adopted by the Township Board for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins April 1. As a result, compensation for the board members will remain at the 2007-08 unless acted upon at Saturday’s meeting.

The annual pay levels are $8,000 for Supervisor Leonard Kelenski, $10,000 for Clerk James Balesh, and $10,850 for Treasurer Katrina Pleva (without summer tax collection) or $13,677 (with summer tax collection).
