George Littlebury, 84, of Wayne, MI passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Mary at his side on March 22, in his home. George was formerly a 30 year resident of Cherry Home Shores, Northport.
On January 3, 1960, he married Mary Childers Gabbert with whom he would share the next 39 years.
George served in the US Naval Air Force during WW2, flying many missions over the Pacific Theater region.
He worked at Holly Carburetor and retired from Ford Motor Company with over 20 years of service.
Survivors include the love of his life, Mary: children, Erica, Alan, Carol and step children Warren, William, Howard, Linda,and Mary; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents,Hugh and Sarah Slattery Littlebury; his brother, Hugh; his sister Phyllis; step-son, John Gabbert and granddaughter, Julie Lindsay.
George was a member of the Livonia Lodge #586 F. & A. M., a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Rawsonville Shriners Club, and a Mason for over 50 years. Cremation has taken place. The family is planning a private memorial service in Northport to celebrate George’s life.

George was devoted to his two cats, Tucker and Bennie.
