A gathering will be held in Suttons Bay on June 16 for Mary Louise Bremer who died March 22 in Florida. She was 80.

She was born in Detroit on Oct. 18, 1927, the daughter of George J. and Ivan (MacKinley) Cooper. Her husband, Robert C. Bremer, died last year. The memorial service on June 16 will honor both Mr. and Mrs. Bremer on their 57th wedding anniversary.

In 1951, she graduated from Michigan State University with an English major and returned to Suttons Bay in 1960 to raise her family. She was a teacher for several years. She and her husband retired to Bonita Springs, Fla., in 1996.

She is survived by her two daughters, Susan (Mark) Wolanski of Dexter and Nancy (David) Heine of San Jose, Calif; and three grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Jr.
