MORTGAGE SALE - Default has been made in the conditions of a mortgage made by Ted A. Morse and Lorraine K. Morse, husband and wife as trustees of the living trust dated August 9, 1996, to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as nominee for lender and lender’s successors and/or assigns, Mortgagee, dated November 21, 2001 and recorded January 11, 2002 in Liber 624, Page 263, Leelanau County Records, Michigan. There is claimed to be due at the date hereof the sum of Eighty-One Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-Nine and 27/100 Dollars ($81,269.27) including interest at 6.5% per annum.
Under the power of sale contained in said mortgage and the statute in such case made and provided, notice is hereby given that said mortgage will be foreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises, or some part of them, at public vendue at the
Leelanau County Courthouse, 8527 E. Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay in Leelanau County, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. on APRIL 25, 2008.
Said premises are located in the Township of Cleveland, Leelanau County, Michigan, and are described as:
Part of Government Lot 1, commencing at the South one-quarter corner of said Section 10; thence West along the Southline of said Section, 886.81 feet to the West line of said Government Lot 1 and the point of beginning; thence North 01 degrees 04 minutes 58 seconds West, along said Government Lot Line 599.94 feet; thence East parallel to the South line of said Section 284.88 feet to the centerline of Traverse Lake Road; thence South 08 degrees 30 minutes West, 112.55 feet along said centerline; thence South 0 degrees 37 minutes West, 488.55 feet along said centerline to the South line of said Section; thence West to the point of beginning, Section 10, Town 29 North, Range 13 West, 3.5 acres.
By Fee Simple Deed from Ted A. Morse, Sr. and Lorraine K. Morse, husband and wife as set forth in Book 555 Page 865 dated 09/27/2000 and recorded 10/02/2000, Leelanau County Records, State of Michigan.
The redemption period shall be 12 months from the date of such sale, unless determined abandoned in accordance with MCLA §600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be 30 days from the date of such sale. TO ALL PURCHASERS: The foreclosing mortgagee can rescind the sale. In that event, your damages, if any, are limited solely to the return of the bid amount tendered at sale, plus interest.
