Four students from The Leelanau School were among winners of the 2008 Traverse City Camera Club Student Photo Contest.

Students in six area counties were invited to participate in the contest, with Kelly Korbel of Traverse City Central winning the grand prize of $100.

Leelanau School students who were recognized included Tom Frain (first place) and Bella Treffers (second place) in the sports/people category, and Joe Nueman (second place) and Carole Fitzsimmons (honorable mention) in the creative/artistic category.
