Signup for the Leelanau County summer softball and baseball youth leagues will be held this month.

Cedar, Maple City and Empire will hold their sign-up from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 in the superintendent’s lobby at Glen Lake School.

Eligible players must be between the ages of 5 through 15 as of May 1, 2008. Birth certificate copies are needed for new players. Payment must be made at the time of registration.

Suttons Bay will hold its sign-up on April 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the high school media center.

Leland coordinator Kevin Peabody can register players by calling him at 271-3321, or visiting www.lelandsummersportsleague.com. Lake Leelanau players can sign up by calling Sheila Schaub or getting a form at the St. Mary School office.
