NMC offers class in real estate appraising

Extended Educational Services of Northwestern Michigan College has scheduled two of three required courses for entry into the field of real estate appraisal.

The first course, Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal will cover licensing regulations, economic principles of value, legal considerations, introduction to market analysis, real estate finance, the valuation process, site evaluations, property descriptions, deed restrictions, zoning and much more.

There is a cost for the course, which will run 6-10 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 14 to May 1.

The second course, Real Estate Appraisal II will follow the fundamentals course. It will be taught from May 5 through May 22 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, also from 6 to 10 p.m.

The combined courses will satisfy 75 hours of training required to become a limited license appraiser in the State of Michigan. The final required Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice will be scheduled for later in the summer.

Further information is available by calling 995-1700 or at www.nmc.edu/ees.
