The Suttons Bay chapter of the Business Professionals of America will hold a "Power Puff" volleyball competition, and dance afterward, on Saturday night at the school.
The all-county event will feature two teams from Suttons Bay as well as one each from Glen Lake, St. Mary, Leland and Northport schools. Students from all county high schools are invited to the dance.
Action will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a match between Suttons Bay’s senior team and Northport. Suttons Bay juniors will face St. Mary in the following match. The winners will play Leland and Glen Lake, respectively, in the semifinals. The final match pairing the two winning semifinalists will follow.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Suttons Bay BPA students will host a countywide dance. Casual dress is acceptable for the event to be held from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. in the skylight area of the high school, just outside the gym. There will also be 50/50 raffles, concessions and a bake sale.
The cost is $3 to attend the tournament, $5 for the dance, or $5 for both events.
Proceeds from the event will be split evenly between the BPA and Philip Williams Cancer Benefit Fund.
