Sally Viskochil is back from a month in Williamsburg, Va., where she was visiting her daughter, Sarah Lichtel. Sally and Emily Bert continued work on the historical murals that they have been painting for the past few years on the walls at the elementary school where Sarah teaches. Marianne Vick and Emily’s mother, Jill, have also been part of this project over the years. Sally and Emily battled the flu for a week of their stay, so progress was a little slowed.
Jen Buehler was in town from San Francisco visiting her parents, Tom and Marsha, and her sister Cammie. Then, Tom and Marsha combined some fun with a business trip to South Carolina.
Dick and Nana Kennedy were in the Yucatan Peninsula for 10 days.Ron and Mary Tonneberger are also back from the Yucatan Peninsula. They had dinner with the Kennedys in Merida, and spent time in the Playa del Carmen area with Karen, Katherine and Tess Edgley. They stopped in Miami Beach, where their son Scott prepared a traditional Easter dinner with guests from Venezuela, Columbia, and Germany.
Myrn and Nonie Steele are back from six weeks in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
Kay and Jim Charter returned from their winter of birding out West in time to man the Saving Birds Thru Habitat booth at the Habitat for Humanity Flower and Garden Show in Traverse City.
Kanda and Harold McKee completed the 10K walk and Don Valmassoi came in third in his age category in the 5K run in the Cincinnati Heart Marathon. Don and brother-in-law Jim Davis then came up to work on their house in Omena.
Laura Deibel and daughter Kady went on a 12-day photo safari in Kenya in March.
Ruth Walker hosted last week’s Club 21 meeting.
