Casting call for dog

Leland School to hold audition for pooch's role in 'Annie'.

Leland Public School is seeking a dog to cast in the role of "Sandy" for the school's upcoming production of the musical play Annie.  Any dogs who belong to families of Leland or St. Mary School students may audition for the part.

Auditions for dogs will be held Saturday at the school’s Performing Arts Center.  Tryouts will begin at 1 p.m.   There will be an entry fee of $10 per dog.
Rules for the audition require that owners must remain with their dogs; all dogs must be on a leash; and owners must confirm that their pets' shots are up-to-date.  Dogs should be able to sit and come on command.

“Dog owners should understand the time commitment involved,” according to a news release from the school.  “The winning ‘Sandy’ must be able to attend practices and appear in seven performances in late May.”The public has been invited to watch the canine auditions for a $5 per family donation to the school’s drama program.  There will be three “celebrity” judges and a short video for children, according to a news release.

For more information, call Leland Public School at 256-9857.

trying to find the blog regarding Sugar Loaf - perhaps the powers to be will move this to the appropriate blog -

If Mr. Lutz had not been in Florida for the past 30 days in his 45 ft Motor home, he would have had time to do his due diligence! He failed to mention that in his comments. Not that Ms. Wickstrom wasn't willing to work with him, but rumor is he has been involved in such negoitations since last August and dragged his feet until February to even sign a purchase agreement. Gets an additional 90 days, spends 30 of it in Florida and now is complaining he didn't have enough time. Come on people - wake up. Either Brad is serious or he isn't. He has been seen in the company of Ed and Brian alot lately, and perhaps he is ………..!
Everything is pointed towards making Kate the bad guy, yet she has been faced with every obstacle set out there. Ofcourse she wants out - who would want to be a part of this cartel? Can't you see the railroad going thru the county? Still a believer.
