U.S. Rep. David Camp (R-Midland) will host a free shredding and recycling of paper products event in Traverse City Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
Camp, working with representatives from ProFile Security and Records Management, will be at the Farmers Market parking lot, near the corner of Grandview Parkway and Union, to help people shred documents that contain personal information.
The event is designed to help people get rid of old papers, and draw attention to how shredded paper is used in recycling efforts. The public is invited to bring papers for shredding and recycling.
