Leland senior Erica Breen is the winner of an essay contest sponsored by the Job Winslow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the third-place winner in state competition.

Breen, the daughter of Terry and Mary Breen of Maple City, will be honored along with other student essayists at a DAR luncheon Saturday in Traverse City.
