Members of the public have been invited to provide input on a Leelanau County Parks and Recreation Master Plan that is being updated.
The county's Parks and Recreation Commission will meet next Wednesday, April 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leelanau County Government Center off M-204 in Suttons Bay Township to hear public input on the plan.
A parks and recreation master plan is a document that is prepared and updated every five years to assist communities in developing goals and objectives that will make the community eligible for grant funding available through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The plan will be used to guide the development and maintenance of recreational facilities, opportunities and programs in Leelanau County.
