The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association (LPVA) will present "Sip and Savor," a 2-day event celebrating wine selections from each of the 13 wineries in the county.
On May 3 and 4, winemakers of the county will be present in their tasting rooms and available to discuss the art and science of making wine. LPVA officials expect approximately 500 people to take part in the event. Each winery has selected a feature wine drawing from either a new release or an old favorite, and also selected a food pairing for accompaniment. A commemorative poster featuring the entire group of winemakers will be available to ticketholders to collect signatures as they tour their way through the trail.
Attendees will have a chance to enter to win a dinner for two with the winemaker of their choice at Samuel’s in Suttons Bay.
Advance tickets at $25 per person are required and are available at www.lpwines.com. A commemorative glass will also be provided.
Visitors may tour up to eight wineries on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and wrap up on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
