Supervisor, James Neve called the meeting to order at 7:01PM.
Board members present: James Neve, Denise Dunn, Deb Van Pelt, Gary Fredrickson and Victor Goldschmidt.
Also present: four citizens and three staff members.
Public Comment was heard from Dick Hufford.
Agenda set as amended.
Approved March 11, 2008 minutes as amended.
Approved March 29, 2008 special board meeting minutes.
Approved Current Bills in the amount of $53,342.76.
Rob Sirrine, Leelanau County MSU Extension Director, gave a presentation.
Reports heard from Fire Department; Hugh Cook, NEMS; Pat Burguard and Wetlands, Victor Goldschmidt.
Approved Article 13 – Planned Site Option renaming to Article 13 – Open Space Residential Developments and approved adjunct housekeeping items to comply with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act.
Approved a lot split at Omena Shores Subdivision contingent to obtaining a setback variance.
Approved Airport Mowing Agreement with Ron Kukhahn at $62.50 per hour.
Approved changing the retirement age from 65 to 55 for the Township Pension Plan.
Discussed employee family health insurance and renew progress.
Discussed broadband communications.
Discussed the warning siren in Omena.
Public Comments heard from Joan Jackson.
