LEELANAU TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
The Leelanau Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 7:00 pm in the Township Hall, located at 119 E. Nagonaba Street, Northport, MI, 49670, to receive public comment on proposed zoning ordinance amendments as follows:
An ordinance to amend the Leelanau Township Zoning Ordinance by the amendment of Article 2 – Definitions, Article 3 – Land Use Districts, Article 10 – Administration, Permits and Appeals, Article 12 – Special Land Uses, Article 14 – Planned Unit Developments, Article 15 – Environmentally Sensitive Areas; and by the repeal of all ordinance or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith. The purpose of these amendments is to bring the ordinance into compliance with recently passed state legislation regarding administration issues and permit requirements, clarifying rezoning, appeal and public notice procedures; by clarifying issues regarding zoning ordinance violations; and clarifying setback measurement from shorelines by adding text and definitions to the existing language.
