The annual Festival of Tables to benefit Child & Family Services will be held Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons (former state hospital grounds) in Traverse City.
More than 50 decorative table settings will be featured including one from a business and two from individuals in Leelanau County. The Light of Day Tea Company of Glen Arbor will be represented with a setting along with Marlene Hougan and Sally Adams of Leelanau Township.
A change of venue will allow more options to organizers, including an expanded display area and a luncheon, which will take place in a large tent, identified as the largest ever erected in Traverse City.
The festival has also been extended two include a Friday evening event— a cocktail party.
Tickets for the gala preview on Friday are $100 apiece. Saturday’s luncheon is $50 or $500 for a table of 10.
