The Michigan State University Extension office will host a tractor safety program for youths who are 14 and 15 years old in June.
Class members must be 14 years old by June 1, 2008. The classes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on June 17, 19, 24 and 26. A written and driving test will be held on June 28 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All classes and testing will be held at the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Station in Bingham Township. Participants must attend all five sessions to become certified.
The cost is $60 per person and some scholarships are available. Space is limited.
