The board of directors of the Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has named Sally Guzowski as executive director.

Guzowski has more than 16 years of non-profit management experience. She has served as executive director for the Traverse Area Arts Council and the March of Dimes and as regional director for the American Cancer Society.

The chamber also reported it is in need of volunteers to assist in helping visitors discover all that Leelanau County has to offer. Opportunities include greeting visitors, responding to telephone and email requests for information, and mailing brochures to individuals from all over the country who plan on visiting the area.
