Parade entries are being welcomed for the 2008 Asparagus Festival parade set for 3 p.m. on Saturday May 17 in downtown Empire.

Anyone wishing to be a part of the parade is asked to bring their classic cars, kazoo bands, or children on decorated bikes and march in the parade. Floats with family, friends or business ties are also welcomed. Anything with an asparagus theme is especially appropriate for the parade.

Participants should arrive at Johnson Park to line up for the parade at 2:30 p.m.
