The sights and sounds of spring will be featured in two hiking events next week sponsored by the Leelanau Conservancy.

Docent Mary Lyons and special guest Norv Hall will lead a hike featuring the birds and wildflowers of the Kehl Lake Nature Area near Northport on Tuesday, May 13.

On Saturday, May 17, docents Ann McInnis and Marsha Buehler will host a walk featuring wildflowers and song birds of the Whaleback Nature Area near Leland.

Both events are scheduled for 10 a.m.
