A business owned by Solon Township resident Tim Brick has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Bicycle Retailers in the country.

In a survey by Boulder Sports Research LLC, the top 12 suppliers in the industry selected Brick Wheels in Traverse City for the honor.

“There are more than 5,000 bicycle retailers in the United States,” said Thomas Prehn, president of the research company. “For Brick Wheels to achieve the status of one of the top 100 bicycle retailers in the nation is no small matter. This bike shop stands as the best of the best.”

Brick was thrilled with the news.

“Being one of the smaller stores and in one of the smaller communities says a lot about the cycling enthusiasm of the citizens of Traverse City. I’d like to think Brick Wheels plays an important part in fueling that enthusiasm,” he said.

“We have always been strong supports of TART Trails and the Cherry Capital Cycling Club,” Brick added. “We are blessed to live in such a great cycling area.”
