Travis J. Maures, a 1995 Northport High School graduate, recently received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Michigan’s Rackham graduate program in cellular and molecular biology.

He received his bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from U-M in 2000, and will continue his research at the university in the lab of his mentor, Dr. Christin Carter-Su, as a post doctoral fellow.

Maures is the son of Marianne Vick of Northport and Chicago, and Stephen Maures of Northport.
