"Stem Cell Research: Fact or Fiction?" will be the subject of a presentation from guest speaker Dr. Daniel Pepin, a professor and bioethics consultant for the Diocese of Gaylord and Venice, Fla., on Wednesday, May 21 at the next Northern Michigan Ave Maria Founder Club dinner in Traverse City.
Pepin will address the complicated and often confusing issue surrounding stem cell research and human cloning from a scientific, ethical and understandable approach at the event at Immaculate Conception Church in Traverse City.
Ave Maria Founders are “Alumni in Faith” who have come together to support Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Fla., and be enriched in the Catholic faith.
Registration is at 5:30 p.m., with a Mass at 6 p.m. and dinner and the presentation to follow. The cost of the dinner is $10.
