Freelance writer and nature photographer Wayne Pope will be featured next Thursday, June 12, at the Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA).
Pope, an adjunct faculty member at Lansing Community College and the GAAA's third artist-in-residence of the year, will give a program starting at 7:30 p.m.
During his residency, he is photographing landscapes to document the plant life of Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. He plans to publish his photos and accompanying stories in the Jack Pine Warbler and the Lansing State Journal.
Light refreshments will be served after the program, which will be held at the GAAA facility. Those attending are asked to use the Lake Street driveway entrance, across from Cherry Republic, because the Pine Street entrance is temporarily blocked.
