Redmond C. Corbett

1921-2008

Services were held last week in New Jersey for longtime Little Traverse Lake summer resident Redmond J. Corbett who died at his home in Cherry Hill, N.J. on May 21. He was 87.

He was born April 18, 1921, in Orange N.J. On Sept. 7, 1946, he married Alice Kammerer of Chicago and Maple City, who survives.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army Medical Corps and served in Europe. In 1946, he completed college at Seton Hall University in New Jersey and shortly after started his first and only job, with RCA Corporation, retiring after 34 years in 1980. He was a lifelong, avid golfer, and enjoyed the company and friendship of many on and around Little Traverse Lake.

He is also survived by four children, sons Butch (Laurie) of California; Joe (Kate) of New Jersey; daughters, Carol of Minnesota and Dorothy of New Jersey; and four grandchildren.

Burial was at William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, N.J.
