A musical event to benefit area writer Lori Hall Steele will be held Sunday at Union Street Station in Traverse City.
Hall-Steele, whose work has been featured in the Enterprise's Leelanau Visitors Guide, was diagnosed in April with an advanced case of Lyme Disease. She has been experiencing months of mysterious symptoms, which included debilitating paralysis.
The benefit, called “The Rocktagon,” will offset Hall-Steele’s mounting medical bills and is being organized by her brother, musician and filmmaker Timothy Hall.
The 5 p.m. event will feature Fairchild, Dead Meat, The Deadly Sins, Jeff Gibbs, and Daisycutter.
A $10 donation will be accepted at the door. There will also be a silent auction/
