The Suttons Bay Chamber of Commerce will hold the second annual Suttons Bay Summer Solstice Art Walk Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at 26 village locations.
"It's an event that draws people into the life of a small village," said Sue Ann Round, the owner of the Michigan Artists Gallery who has played a key role in organizing the Art Walk. “Last summer for our first Art Walk, we had at least 800 people participate. I’ve never seen so much joy up and down the streets.”
The event will feature at least one artist, and in some cases wine from Leelanau County vintners, at the stops. In addition, there will be food, live music, and a chance to win a $250 village shopping spree for participants who visit at least 13 of the 26 locations. A similar fall Art Walk event is also planned in Suttons Bay on Friday, Oct. 24.
