1921-2008

Services were held Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Traverse City for Alice Joann Mugerian of Bingham Township who died June 12 at her family’s home. She was 86.

She was born Dec. 2, 1921, in Detroit, the daughter of Mihran and Mary Ann (Askigian) Mugerian.

After graduating from beauty college, she owned and operated a beauty salon in Detroit for 30 years. However, most of her business life was spent as a restaurateur at her 22 Harvest Table Restaurants. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Traverse City, and loved serving as a volunteer with the Father Fred Foundation food pantry and at Munson Medical Center.

She is survived by a brother, Sam Mugerian, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry; and a sister, Libby.

Burial was to be in Oakwood Catholic Cemetery in Traverse City.
