Supervisor, James Neve called the meeting to order at 7:05PM.
Board members present: James Neve, Denise Dunn, Deb Van Pelt and Gary Fredrickson and Victor Goldschmidt.
Also present: four citizens and three staff members.
No Public Comment.
Agenda set as amended.
Approved May 13, 2008 minutes as presented.
Approved Current Bills in the amount of $60,958.25.
Heard a report from Library; Deb Stannard and approved the Public Relations Policy for the Library. More reports were heard from the Fire Department; Pat Burguard for Hugh Cook, NEMS; Pat Burguard, Township Planning Commission; Denise Dunn, STDI (Small Town Design Initiative); Victor Goldschmidt, and MSU/MTA workshop; Victor Goldschmidt.
Approved endorsing an application for a 2% grant from Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians for repair of the tabernacle and a walkway at the Northport Indian Mission United Methodist Church on Camp Haven Road site.
Approved endorsing an application for a 2% grant from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians to supplement the food pantry at the Northport Indian Mission United Methodist Church at 8626 N. Manitou Trail, Northport, Michigan.
Approved the Internet Aide Job Description for the Leelanau Township Library.
Approved the rate of pay for the Library Internet Aide at $10.00 per hour.
Approved the Personal Services Contract for the Children’s Summer Program Coordinator.
Approved the purchase of a Dell Computer for the Northport Emergency Medical Service quarters in an amount of $713.00.
Approved Leelanau/Timber Shores Special Assessment District Resolution.
Approved an amendment for participant fee increase to the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Agreement with the Traverse City Fire Department.
Approved an amount of $4,500.00 for bases and tanks for the Woolsey Airport toilets.
Public Comments heard from Marsha Buehler, Pat Burguard and Victor Goldschmidt.
It was announced that there would be a rededication to Woolsey Airport in July of 2009.
