Art Leelanau exhibit begins July 25

The 16th annual benefit art exhibition and sale for support of the Old Art Building in Leland will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, July 25, when the public gets its first chance to view the work of 95 local participating artists.

Two deputies cleared by judge

A federal court judge in Grand Rapids has granted a summary judgment in favor of two Leelanau County deputy sheriffs who were accused of violating a drunk driving suspect's civil rights when they arrested him in 2005.
