The Great Lakes Children's Museum is hosting a "Go Fly a Kite" event each Wednesday afternoon through Labor Day.
In conjunction with its traveling hands-on exhibit Jump to Japan, the museum is hosting a child-friendly kite-flying event at the Con Foster Museum from 4-6 p.m. every Wednesday through Labor Day. Museum staff and volunteers will demonstrate basic flying techniques and help children launch their kites.
The museum will also host kite-making workshops on July 30 and Aug. 6 at 3 p.m.
The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is located at 13240 S. W. Bay Shore Dr. in Greilickville. The Con Foster Museum is located in Clinch Park in downtown Traverse City, along the bay shore.
