To the Editor:

Scot and I would like to thank Mike Spencer for writing the story about our daughter Chelsie Wack. It has been a great blessing to us.

We have had an outpouring of support from our community and afar.

Thank you to those who have prayed, written cards, offered encouraging words, and those who have shared their own struggles with MS.

We have met new people who are learning how to overcome as we are. Chelsie is currently communicating with a 16-year-old girl from Atlanta whom she met as a result of this article and who is going through the same diagnosing process.

It has given Chelsie the opportunity to share the words of encouragement that so many in our community and beyond have shared with her. Chelsie’s story made it to CMU and she has received a very nice letter from one of the professors offering support as he and his wife both have MS.

We are so very proud of Chelsie, her courage, kindness, innocence, and wisdom, her generosity, compassion, and patience inspires us daily.
