To the Editor:

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the voters of Leelanau County for their pledged support and commitment as I considered entering the race to become our County Sheriff.

After much sincere, objective, and reverent thought, I have determined that my love of family, and respect and appreciation for my true friends precludes my entering the Sheriff's race and engaging in our political process in 2012.
