Those who love to cook asparagus are invited to attend the ever-popular Empire Asparagus Festival Cook-Off and enter their dishes for consideration. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and include the crowd favorite People’s Choice Award.

The event will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the Empire Township Hall. Entries should be large enough to provide at least 12 normal-size servings.

Dishes should be brought to the Township Hall between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. Asparagus chefs who are interested in participating should visit www.empirechamber.com and link to the Asparagus Cook-Off page for information and an entry form. Please RSVP to the e-mail address on the entry form.
