Re: Thomas Baird’s letter on 7-12

President Obama’s track record does speak for itself. His health care plan makes it possible for students to remain on their parents health insurance plan until age 26, and insurance companies can no longer cancel, or raise rates because of a pre-existing condition.

Insurance companies will be required to provide contraceptives to women where ever they work. I am proud that my President is pro-woman’s health care, and also pro-environmental regulations.

As for taxes — When did Americans decide we’re not obligated to pay for our wars, our services, and our infrastructure. We are laying off, and cutting the pay of our police, our firefi ghters, our teachers, and nurses. We are selling our country to China to pay for our wars, while our roads and bridges are crumbling, but God forbid, Don’t raise taxes on the very rich.

The July 27 International Arms Treaty has no effect on the gun rights of any American citizen. In FACT President Obama has been more “gun friendly” than the Bush administration. It is also a FACT that hospitals are not being forced to provide abortions, unless the Mother’s life is at risk. But FACTS don’t seem to matter to Mr. Baird.

If you travel in the U.S., most of the road repair and construction are a direct result of the stimulus. Last but not least it was Justice Roberts that so disappointed the right, hand picked by the Bush administration, not by President Obama. Enough Said, and yes Mr. Baird, there is lots more.
