NANCY MARBLE

1945 – 2012 1945 – 2012 Nancy Lee Marble was born August 29, 1945 in Northville, Michigan, daughter of Marthabel and Herbert Nelson. She passed away February 22, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, Howell, MI surrounded by her family.

Nancy graduated from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI with a teaching degree in elementary education. Her great love in addition to her own family, was for all children. She taught school at Plymouth Public until her marriage to David Marble of Birmingham, MI. The couple made their home in Howell, MI where Nancy worked in public day care until she developed her own day care business at her own home.

In later years, young adults, who had been in her day care as children, would stop by to see her and tell her how much she had meant to them as children, and how much her care had impacted their adult lives. We, her family, will also remember how her love, caring, and her wonderful laughter when with her, would always make our day happier and brighter.

Nancy is survived by her husband, David Marble, three daughters – Dori Marble, Megan Ocala, Robin Sapilkowski, one son Christopher Marble, one grandson DiAndre Ocala, one granddaughter Lorrin Marble and two brothers, Commander Stuart A. Nelson, USN, R., Travis A. Nelson, and her parents, Herbert and Marthabel Nelson.
