Thomas and Lois Stretlien of Lake Leelanau will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary today.

The couple were married Aug. 2, 1952 at Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church in Detroit. Rev. Leon Apple officiated the service.

Thomas Stretlien is a retired General Motors Corp. employee and United Auto Workers International Union member. Lois (Fiedler) is a Royal Oak Schools retiree.

The couple moved to Lake Leelanau in 1993. They will celebrate the anniversary with their sons, Tom, Mark, Mike and daughter in-law Ellen, at a later date.
