The Glen Lake/YMCA Youth Pop Warner Football program, for youths 8-12 years of age, is holding registration next Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Maple City’s Glen Lake High School football field. Students from the Leelanau County area are welcome to sign up.

The Pop Warner program teaches the fundamental skills and strategies, all while keeping it as simple as possible. The program also instills the players with “Team” concepts and values.

The Glen Lake/YMCA Youth Pop Warner Football program has a junior peewee division, aimed at ages 8-10 and a junior midget division is aimed at ages 10-12.

The season parallels the high school season and runs from August to October.
