To the Editor:

A few weeks ago Dave Camp was attempting to hand deliver Benishek to the constituents in the redrawn 1st Congressional district. Fearful some might be victims of this plot, I ask, why Benishek?

Could it be that he is a wealthy healthcare provider who is against affordable healthcare? Pre-existing conditions? Young people remaining on their parents’ policies? Free preventative health care? Untimely policy cancellations?

Or, that he is a Tea Party darling? A bunch of middle aged white people who are against any type of social progress? That he genuflects to Grover Norquist pledging no increased taxes?
