To the Editor:

The 25th Northport Wine Festival held last Saturday featured eleven northern loop (north of M-204) wineries and six local eateries. Leelanau Cellars of Omena was the Gold Sponsor. Kudos to Mark Jacobson, Tony Lentych, and the crew at the Cellars. Thanks also to the Northport Sportsman’s Club, Georgienne Hammer, and an army of volunteers. Thanks to the Windy Ridge Boys whose music was sweet enough to sip to all afternoon. A special nod of appreciation goes to Ruth Steele-Walker whose vision and perseverance made this event possible. Thanks again to the many who worked so hard, and all who attended.
