A 72-year-old Bingham Township woman was injured last week when a deer ran into the side of her vehicle.

Patricia J. Cole of Fort Road was northbound on M-22 near McAllister when a deer ran into the side of her Subaru Impreza shortly after 1 p.m. on Aug. 6, according to police reports.

Cole, the lone occupant in the car, was transported to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City where she was treated and released.
