The community is invited to a Blessing of the Animals service Sunday at the Leland Community United Methodist Church.

Animals and their owners are invited to the 11 a.m. worship service for blessings. All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Large animals must be blessed on the church lawn.

There will be a brat cookout starting at 10:30 a.m. and continuing through 1 p.m.

All proceeds from the cookout will be donated to Black Sheep Crossing, an animal rescue farm in Leelanau Township.
