Jerry and Jo Ann Medler of Northport announce the birth of their sixth grandson and eighth grandchild on July 20, 2012.

Andrew Arthur Phelps was born at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey at 5:08 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz., and was 20 inches long.

Andrew is the first child of Darrell and Kimberly (Medler) Phelps of Harbor Springs.

Phelps is a contractor and Kimberly Phelps is vice president of Investments for the Huntington Investment Company — northwest region.

Paternal grandmother is Irene Phelps of Petoskey.
